Welcome to The Weekender at Campfield! We're excited to have you join us for the grand reopening of this incredible Manchester landmark. Here’s everything you need to know to plan your visit.

What is The Weekender at Campfield?

The Weekender is a unique artisanal festival celebrating the rebirth of Campfield Mega Campus as a bustling market hall. Brought to you by Department and GRUB, it's a one-of-a-kind event featuring a curated makers market, delicious street food and drinks, live music, creative classes, and activities for the whole family.

When is the event?

The Weekender will take place on Saturday, August 30th, from 10am to 5pm. This is the first of several weekend festivals planned to bring the building back to its original purpose.

What can I expect to see and do?

The event will be a hive of activity! You can explore stalls from over thirty hand-picked independent traders, including bakers, brewers, jewellers, florists, and more. There will also be fantastic street food and beverages, live music from local DJs and buskers, and hands-on creative classes. It’s a great opportunity to discover local talent and enjoy a vibrant atmosphere.

How much does it cost to attend?

Entry to The Weekender is completely free!

How do I get to Campfield?

Campfield is located in the Castlefield area of Manchester, on Liverpool Road, directly opposite the Museum of Science and Industry.

  • By Tram: The closest tram stop is Deansgate-Castlefield. From there, it's just a short 5-minute walk to Campfield.

  • By Train: Deansgate Railway Station is also a 5-7 minute walk from the venue.

  • By Bus: There are numerous bus stops in the Castlefield area that are a short walk away.

  • By Car: There are several paid car parks in the immediate vicinity, but we encourage you to use public transport if possible as the area can be busy.

Is the venue accessible?
